Slate Chips (Mini)
Mini slate chips are about .5″ to 1″ in size and are a deep gray/blue color. These small slate chips are particularly suited for walkways, driveways and even rustic patios, as the flat stones compress and pack together. Many homeowners and business owners use mini slate chips for their rock garden borders in front of a building. They also serve as a mulch substitute around trees and bushes.
Slate is a much-loved landscape material because of its durability and low maintenance. Rain or a quick spray will keep them clean, and an occasional raking will keep them in place.

If you aren’t sure how much coverage you need, simply multiply the square footage of your project by the depth, in inches, of mini slate chips you want. Then divide by 324. This gives you the number of cubic yards necessary for your plan. For example, one cubic yard = 648 sq.ft. at 1/2″ / 325 sq.ft. at 1″ / 162 sq.ft. at 2″ / 108 sq.ft. at 3″ / 81 sq.ft. at 4″.
When you place your order, let us know your preferred day of delivery. Unfortunately, due to the size of our delivery area, we cannot guarantee the time, but we will do our best to meet your request. Similarly, please tell us where you want the load placed, and we will put your mini slate chips right where they are most convenient. We enter your property at the owner’s risk regarding crossing curbs, driveways, lawns, gas/phone lines and septic tanks, etc.
